AIB SEPA File Online Testing Tool

AIB have a free online SEPA file validation tool available for their customers where you can upload a test file and validate that it complies with the new Version 9 file specification.

We would recommend that all AIB customers submit a test file for verification before they start using the new Version 9 file format for live payroll payment files.

The validation tool is called XMLdation and users are required to register before they can use it.

You should call AIB on 0818 720000 (or +353 1 641 4889 if you're outside Ireland) and ask for a Registration Code for the XMLdation online tool.

Once you have your code you can register at https://aib.xmldation.com/auth/register

Step 1 - Create your SEPA file in Payroll and save it to your hard disk.

Step 2 - Log into the AIB XMLDation tool at https://aib.xmldation.com

Step 3 - Click on the "Validation" menu at the top of the screen

Step 4 - Upload your File and press the "Validate" button

Step 5 - Select the type of validation to perform - choose Credit Transfer or Instant Credit Transfer according to your needs

The XMLDation tool will then read your SEPA test file and validate it against the format that you requested, and it will present you with a report which should show that it passed all tests. You can view more details by clicking on the "See Report" option.
