Email settings are not saving

Due to a recent windows update, we have noticed several software users are losing their email settings within the software.
Specifically the email from name and from address seem to become blank, and will not allow new values to be saved.

This is due to an underlying issue with system permissions within the aforementioned windows update.

We will soon release a software update to introduce a workaround to prevent this issue, but luckily there is a simple solution to correct this problem.

1. Please close any running instances of Collsoft Payroll 2019
2. Right-Click on the Collsoft Payroll 2019 Icon and select "Run As Administrator" like so:


3. Proceed into the software and go to Email Settings under the tools menu like so:



4. Enter your email settings and double check that your server timeout is not set to 0 (recommended value is 30), and click on close.



Your settings will now be saved on this computer going forward.
Please repeat these steps as necessary on any computers experiencing this issue.
